  • Professor Dr. Essam Eldin Shelbaya is a famous professor of General Surgery at Egypt’s Minia University. With a strong academic foundation and vast field experience, he has made major contributions to the medical field and surgical procedure.
  • Dr. Shelbaya’s remarkable academic career started in 1975 when he graduated with an M.B.B.Ch. from Cairo University. By earning two master’s degrees—one in general surgery in 1984 and the other in orthopaedic surgery in 1983—he was able to further refine his abilities. His commitment to the field paid off in 1990 when he received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in General Surgery.
  • Dr. Shelbaya has had a long history of involvement in academic research as well as clinical practice.
