  • Dr. Nair went on to further specialize, graduating in 1985 with a Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from Chandigarh’s esteemed Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER).
  • Dr. Nair’s desire to improve his abilities in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery led him to pursue a demanding training program, which paid off when he graduated in 1988 with a Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery from Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.
  • His extensive training gave him the skills and knowledge needed to perform difficult surgical procedures with accuracy and competence.
  • Dr. Nair began his career in cardiovascular surgery in 1989, working as a lecturer at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth G.S. Medical College in Bombay, India.
  • Later on, he moved to the esteemed Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in Trivandrum, where he worked from 1990 to 1999 as an assistant professor and then as an associate professor.
  • This prestigious institution, designated by the Indian government as an Institution of National Importance, gave Dr. Nair a platform to make a substantial contribution to the field of cardiovascular surgery.
