Required Documents

  • A valid Ethiopian passport and a copy with at least 6 months validity and at least three blank pages.
  • A hard copy of the completed online visa application form is available at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs.
  • A medical report from an Ethiopian doctor or hospital outlining your condition and a referral letter.
  • An invitation letter along with an email from a recognized Indian hospital outlining the treatment plan, estimated cost of treatment, and duration of your stay. The hospital should email to the official mail ID of the Indian consulate: cons.addisababa@mea.gov.in. The letter should be signed by the recognized authority.
  • Original certificates of immunization against yellow fever (with a lifetime validity) and oral polio (valid for two years).

Visa Fees and Processing Time

The processing fee for a medical visa varies depending on the duration of stay. It's USD 74 (ETB 4260) for a 6-month visa and USD 109 (ETB 6910) for a 1-year visa.

Processing time is three working days so apply accordingly.
